5 th GRADUATION DAY REPORT
The 5 th Graduation Day was presided over by Dr. B. Babu Manoharan, Chairman, St. Joseph's Group of Institutions, Mrs. S.Jessie Priya, Managing Director and Mr.B.Shashi Sekar, Director, St. Joseph's Group of Institutions, and Dr. P. Ravichandran, Principal, St. Joseph’s Institute of Technology. A total of 554 students received their degree. Our college has bagged 2 University Ranks in Anna University Examinations held in May 2019. All the Rank Holders were honoured with a Cash Prize of Rs. 25,000/- & Shields. The total prize money amounts to worth Rs 2 Lakhs was distributed to the graduands on this astonishing occasion.
PLACEMENT DETAILS
Out of the 554 students who receive their degree,432 of them have been placed through campus interviews, 71 through off-campus interviews and 12 of them have become entrepreneurs. The students were placed in many leading organizations like Amazon, Soliton, Bosch, Ashok Leyland, Wheels India, HSBC, Bonfiglioli, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Wipro, Infosys, Mu-Sigma, Tech Mahindra, Zoho, Mindtree, Financial Software Services, SSWLIndia, VVDN, Torry Harris, etc., with a salary package ranging from Rs. 3 lakhs to 10 lakhs per annum.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
- Ms. Santhoshini Gayathri T received the travel grant from IEEE Photonics Society for the amount of $2000 (Rs.1, 67,000/-) towards the IEEE Photonic Conference at Orlando, Florida, U.S. during 1/10/2017 to 5/10/2017.
- Ms. Santhoshini Gayathri T received the Best Poster Award on the title “Photonic generation of triangular shaped microwave pulses using polarization property” at Doctoral Summer School on Nanophotonics and Metamaterials, ITMO University, Russia.
- Ms.Muthukrthiga and Ms.Renuga.S have won third prize for the project titled “Detecting the Violation of traffic rules using machine Learning and Character Recognition algorithms” in National Level Technical Symposium Project Expo held at Jeppiaar Engineering College.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Our students have excelled not only in the field of academics, but also in the field of sports. We have R.Kishore Kumar, S.Sasi Keerthana, C Bharathi, S Bhavani, M Monisha, T L Hasya, S Sivaranjini, D Vanitha, R Rajameena, who represented our college in various events at the Anna University Inter Zone and All India Inter University Levels.
