The Management & the Department of Training & Placement do not get just pleased with placements of students alone. Our primary concern is more on helping students establish themselves in their career by building 3S - Survival, Sustainability and Success there by get a firm footing in both profession and personal lives. We want to achieve not only quantitative placement, but more of qualitative one in the years to come.
We are proud to inform that we have reached a placement of 1703 added to this year. It is indeed a golden feather added to St. Joseph’s College of Engineering’s cap.
The wonderful rapport and healthy relationship between the academia and various companies like Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, ZOHO, Soliton, Thought works, Verizon, Multicoreware, Emerson, Adobe, Paypal, Mr.Cooper, Zilker etc. contributes a lot to mutual growth. They have rendered students a right exposure, helped to become aware of the latest trends in technology, realize their worth and prove themselves in a globally competitive world.
The Department of Training & Placement conducts Soft Skills & Quantitative Aptitude training programs for the first year students as a preparatory step for Placement. A six days Aptitude Crash Course Training is conducted in the first / second year and is compulsory for all the students to attend similiarily, a 6 days Placement Orientation Program (POP) & 6 days Company specific training is given to the students in the final year.
COGNIZANT
We have signed a MoU with Cognizant and it has set up an Open Source Lab worth rupees 6 lakhs & Big Data Lab worth rupees 5 lakhs in our college for the betterment of the students. Cognizant conducted an Eye Opener Program ‘Evolve – Transition from School to College Life’ for Ist year students. This enlightened the students on corporate expectations that will make them to take their studies seriously. Cognizant has conducted Mock Interview for the final year ahead of the Day-1 of Campus recruitment that helped them to understand the interview process and perform well in the campus Interviews.
Our faculty members have attended various Faculty Development Programme conducted at their Campus. Students gain industry knowledge by frequent interaction with industry experts through the platform “Cognizant Club”. them to understand the interview process and perform well in the campus Interviews. Cognizant - Service Now Skilling Program Our College has signed a MOU with Service Now through Cognizant for skilling program. College will identify interested students and Cognizant will have an evaluation for the interested students to shortlist prospects for this program. The shortlisted students will be trained in the college by Cognizant SMEs. Post training the student needs to go through another evaluation and Service Now Certification. The student will be offered a full time offer based on the student performance during training, clearance of post training evaluation and Service Now certification
WIPRO
WIPRO has honored and accredited our college as a TRUSTED ACADEMIC PARTNER for providing talent of Higher Caliber and meeting the qualifying standards of Excellence. WIPRO has conducted Mission 10X Faculty Enhancement Programme. It is a Soft Skills Training programme conducted for faculties of various streams of Engineering and Technology. Students of our College attended the Women’s Day Celebration at Wipro CDC5, Shollinganallur campus.
Wipro-TalentNext
Wipro has trained some of our faculties as Wipro certified faculty through TalentNext event. As part of the TalentNext enrichment program, wipro conducted “Advanced Technology” program on Artificial Intelligence/Machine Language [AI/ML] for the existing WCFs [Wipro Certified Faculty] of our college. This will help the professors to get a first hand experience for themselves on this emerging technologies.
INFOSYS
Students have been trained in Technical Skills in Foundation Enablement Programme through Infosys Campus Connect. Our faculty members participated in the Soft Skills Training Programme conducted by Infosys - a tour College premises. Infosys has conducted WEBINAR to in still the awareness in the students of the latest technological development.

Hack With Infy is Infosys flagship India-wide hackathon to not just provide a perfect stepping stone for students to explore their passion for coding and programming, but also an opportunity to compete and earn a chance to work with Infosys.
VIRTUSA
With the signing of a MoU with Virtusa, Data Warehousing Lab has been set up for the students to work in the lab. Around 23 students have been selected to gain industrial exposure The students are currently undergoing training in the Data Warehousing lab.
MURUGAPPA GROUP
Our college has joined hands with Murugappa group for Murugappa Young Professional (MYP) programme. Along side with Murugappa group, we have taken initiatives for various Campus Connect program. Additionally two batches of III year students have successfully completed and submitted their projects to the Murugappa Young Professionals programme.
XERVON GULF
XERVON GULF, a UAE based company has signed an MOU with our college this year. It would enable them to recruit students through campus interviews in St. Joseph’s College of Engineering and St. Joseph’s Institute of Technology.
VERO SOFTWARE
The signing of MOU with VERO SOFTWARE, UK would benefit students by improving their skill sets in CNC machining through CAM simulation software, EDGECAM etc.
Internship
Cognizant, Frost Sullivan and K. L. Laboratories have signed for internship with students. Students were offered internship programme by Murugappa Group, GE Digital, E-con Systems, Tata Communications, Zoho, Maestro steel etc. Providing industrial exposure to the students through all these professional activities and grooming their academic excellence are not the only motive of the Management. But our prime aim lies in inculcating moral values, discipline, responsibility and make them good citizens, sons and daughters, friends and above all, a better human to dare and care for the world he or she lives in.
CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE IN ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION (RPA)
Students will be trained on emerging technology RPA and can be made Corporate ready aligned with Blue Priseloper) & certified students will be sourced for Recruitment from Industry top players.

Ltd. is a skill augmentation platform aimed at improving learning outcomes and bringing students closer to the industry in emerging technology Robotic

Close to 203 Students from across disciplines have been trained in Robotic process automation & Course completion certificates were distributed to the students in the Valedictory function held at the campus, Mr. Manjunath - Program Manager - Academic Alliance – Blueprism, handed over the certificates to the students who have undergone the training the foundational program in Blueprism RPA. These students will be further trained on the advanced levels on Blueprism RPA, followed by which they will undergo AD01 Blueprism Robotic Process Automation Certification.
