Distinguished Lecture Program

As a part of the Silver Jubilee Celebrations IEEE EMBS Distinguished Lecture's Talk was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with the IEEE EMBS conducted on 3rd December 2018. The inaugural talk was given by the chief guest on the topic ‘Computational Modeling and Digital Dysmorphology for Diverse Populations with Genetic Syndromes’. This was followed by the Distinguished Lecture in which the Guest elaborated about genetic conditions. The students and faculty were immensely benefitted through the words of knowledge.





Distinguished Lecture Program

The department of ECE organized a distinguished lecture program in association with IEEE Photonics society by Dr. Shilong Pan, Professor, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Director, Institute of Opto Electronic Engineering, NUAA China gave the lecture on “Photonics for Broadband Microwave Measurement”. The speech elaborated about the microwave measurement that refers to the acquisition of parameters of a microwave signal, Device and a sub system or the identification of properties of an object via microwave based approaches.

International Level IEEE-Women’s in Engineering (WIE) Meet

The Silver Jubilee Celebrations of St. Joseph’s Group of Institutions was celebrated in a grand manner by Department of ECE, St. Joseph’s Institute of Technology. To add flavours to the Silver Jubilee Celebrations, the IEEE WIE One Day National Meet was conducted by the Department of ECE, St. Joseph’s Institute of Technology on 31 st August 2019. The inaugural talk was given by the Chief Guest Ms.Emi Yano on the topic latest features and scope available for women in IEEE WIE.



Department of ECE-“BEST REGIONAL” EMBS Student Society Award

IEEE EMBS St. Joseph’s Institute of Technology Student Chapter has been awarded the best regional IEEE EMBS Student Chapter for Asia Pacific. As the regional winner, the chapter will receive a plaque and a 300 USD honorarium to use to support chapter activities.




Our college also has a separate academy for sports students, THE ST.JOSEPHS SPORTS ACADEMY, and has it's wings all over Tamil Nadu. Over the years it has produced numerous national and international athletes. All thanks to the unswerving hard work of the students and also the untiring efforts of the coaches.
